/ Hear themes shift, return, and become something new.

Throughout the evening, musical ideas appear in changing forms—returning through variation, reinterpretation, and transformation. Mozart’s music serves as the point of departure for a program that explores how themes evolve across music, flavor, and shared experience. From the refinement of Classical form to the layered construction of the Mozartkugel and the Mozart Torte, each element reflects the movement of ideas across composers, texture, and experience.

/ Taste the original Mozartkugel, rich with history.

Originating in Salzburg in the late 19th century, the Mozartkugel became one of Austria’s most enduring confections. Layers of pistachio marzipan, nougat, and dark chocolate reflect a balance of texture, contrast, and refinement that parallels the clarity and elegance of Mozart’s music. Served during intermission, the confection offers a direct sensory connection to the cultural world surrounding the program.

/ Experience flavor transformed into a final expression.

Inspired by the structure and flavors of the Mozartkugel, the evening concludes with an original Mozart Torte conceived and developed by Dr. Jacob De Hoyos. Pistachio, chocolate, and layered textures are reinterpreted in a more expansive form, transforming the traditional confection into a final expression of variation and transformation. For the performance, the torte was realized in individual form in collaboration with pastry chef Ana of The Dessert Edit (@thedessertedit_).

Transformation Across Sound and Flavor

Musical ideas evolve, return, and take new form.

Flavor follows the same process of variation and reinterpretation.

This program explores transformation as both musical structure and sensory experience.
