A chamber music program featuring piano trios by Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven, whose Op. 1 was dedicated to Haydn’s patron, Prince Esterházy. Guests explored the influence of aristocratic patronage while enjoying the famous Esterházy torte inspired by the noble family.

A program inspired by Francis Poulenc’s Napoli, paired with traditional Neapolitan sfogliatelle and an exploration of the city’s vibrant musical and cultural traditions. Guests discovered the sights, sounds, and flavors that shaped one of Italy’s most captivating cities and inspired Poulenc’s spirited suite.

Mozart: Theme and Transformation
A program exploring how musical ideas are shared, developed, and passed from one composer to the next through works by Mozart, Clementi, and Czerny. Guests enjoyed traditional Mozartkugeln and a hand-crafted Mozart Torte inspired by their signature flavors, reflecting the program’s theme of familiar ideas reimagined in new forms.

About the Creator
Dr. Jacob De Hoyos
Dr. Jacob De Hoyos is a pianist and scholar whose work bridges performance, history, and cultural storytelling. Through Baking With The Classics, he pairs classical repertoire with historically inspired desserts to create multi-sensory concert experiences that are rigorous, accessible, and deeply human. He teaches at the University of Mount Saint Vincent and maintains a private piano studio in New York City.
